~Yuan Ze University Campus Guide~
We made a ranking of our favorite spots and recommended cafeterias on the Yuan Ze University campus!
For the favorite spots, we focused on places that are perfect for studying or spending free time between classes.
The cafeteria rankings are just our personal opinions, haha, so please take them lightly!
By checking this guide, you can learn more about the campus and cafeterias before you even start studying here ★

★Yuan Ze University Cafeteria Ranking★
👑 1st Place: Gyokushokuya (玉食屋)
If we ever miss Japanese food, this is the place to go!
The signature dish is Oyakodon (chicken & egg rice bowl), but our personal favorite is Akami Miso Pork Cutlet Rice!!
⚠️ It’s super popular, and lines start forming around 5 PM, so if you want it, be sure to go early before it sells out 💦
🎊 2nd Place: Lu Wei (滷味)
Every Taiwanese loves Lu Wei! Delicious, lots of vegetables, and hearty portions, a triple win! It’s buffet style, so you can add as many ingredients as you want.
When living in Taiwan, it can be hard to eat enough vegetables, so having a place like this in the cafeteria is really convenient!
✨ 3rd Place: Xiantao (仙桃)
The fried chicken here is amazing. Our top pick is the Grilled Chicken Chop Rice
(燒烤雞排飯)!
The sauce on the chicken is just perfect 😋, and it only costs 90 NTD, such a great deal.
If you’re really hungry, this is definitely the one to order!

Recommended Spots on Yuan Ze Campus
1. Luisa ☕
A café on campus that just opened in 2023! Great place to relax or grab a drink between classes.

2. Global Lounge
A lounge for international students only 🌌 You can take a break, watch movies together, or just hang out with friends.

3. Parasols in Front of the Library
Our daily routine is sunbathing during free periods. Perfect for a short break in the sun!

4. Activity Center Café
A café attached to a stationery shop, perfect for doing homework or projects.
It’s closer to the dorms compared to Luisa, so very convenient!

5. Activity Center Study Area
A hidden gem for studying! The library is often crowded, but this space is less well-known, making it ideal if you want some quiet.

6. Library
The Yuan Ze library is modern and very clean ✨ Its design goes beyond a regular library:
-
Open spaces with large staircases, bridges, and outdoor terraces connect the inside and outside.
-
Recently, private study booths for 1–2 people have been added. They are soundproof and come with power outlets, WiFi, and wired internet.
-
There are also unique relaxing spaces, like stair-style seating, long-carpet areas, window chairs, and even bike-style study machines!
It’s a perfect mix of study and chill spaces, so take time to explore!
